This cake was an order for a client whose friend was turning 40! The birthday girl's favourite colours are black, white and red. I decided on a square topsy-turvy exploding cake, and was very pleased with the result.

Hi there - I am the birthday girl concerned and this was a truely fabulous cake. With the exception of my mum nobody has ever made me a birthday cake before and this was show stopping. Thank you so much. We loved how it looked and it tasted wonderful. My children loved it and took photos to show their friends at school too. Many many thanks

Thank you so much for the feedback. I really enjoyed making the cake and trying a couple of new techniques. So happy the birthday girl loved it.
