Sentenced to Love.....

Celebrating 50 years of marriage is milestone that is worth noting, so why not do it with a little humour; - a couple that have been sentenced to life with love. Why not celebrate with cake - a White Chocolate Cake filled with raspberries and white chocolate ganache, finished with fondant.

The handmade cell houses the bride and groom, also created with fondant.

Uncle Nee Naw

Yes it's Uncle Nee Naw's Birthday (aka Blue Dog or Wayne)! Firstly 'Nee Naw' is the name our niece, Ruby (4) has chosen because fire engines make a 'nee naw' sound and  yes Uncle Wayne is a firefighter.

This year's birthday cake was also designed by Ruby, who has been drawing pictures of Uncle Nee New's cake for weeks now - I didn't want to disappoint.  So the compromise was a caramel mud cake, Wayne's choice, with Ruby's design.

Harry Potter (21st) Cake

A friend asked if I could make his son's 21st Birthday Cake and requested - chocolate, the 'Harry Potter Sorting Hat' and basically anything 'Harry Potter' related.

Devils Food Chocolate cake filled with dark chocolate ganache and covered with fondant.  The 'Sorting Hat' was made with krispy treats, yes 100% edible and homemade, finished with chocolate buttercream and chocolate flavoured fondant.

To accompany the cake were 21 chocolate cupcakes iced with dark chocolate buttercream and decorated with handmade fondant scarves, books and brooms.
