Big and Load..... Happy 21st!

There is 8.6kg of white chocolate mud cake and ganache hidden under all the fondant, so I was thankful for all my weight training when shifting this cake around.

The cake represents the heavy metal band 'Lamb of God's iconic flag.

A photo of me with the cake to illustrate it's size.

Happy 1st Birthday Princess

Most of us are quietly princesses at heart, so I really enjoyed making this cake for a 1st Birthday Celebration.

The cake is a Devils Food Cake (chocolate) filled with dark chocolate ganache and delicately decorated with fondant.

To accompany the cake were 36 mini chocolate cupcakes with vanilla bean buttercream decorated with edible glitter and shimmery gold crowns.

Proudly displayed and ready for the celebration.

Happy Birthday Zeze!!!

To celebrate my eldest sister's birthday, Allison - fondly known as Zeze by the youngest members of our family I contacted my junior design consultant, Ruby (5yrs old).  Ruby suggested I make a "big big cupcake and decorate it with flowers, hearts and in Zeze's favourite colour".  I have satisfied most of the brief, but with only one heart and a few butterflies were substituted.

The cake itself is a crowd pleasing favourite; Vanilla Bean iced with Vanilla Bean Buttercream.
