VW Beetle..... Happy 50th Cathy

The birthday girl has a couple of loves and one favourite is 'Boris' the beautifully restored VW Beetle.  I did a little research, i.e Facebook, to assist with the details and the decorated base of the cake  replicates the car's upholstery.

The cake itself is a classic vanilla cake, covered with buttercream and decorated with fondant.

Garden Party

I love this cake.......

Four little girls all celebrate their birthdays within days of each other, and I was asked to make a cake for the occasion.  I was given creative freedom, and decided upon a 'garden party'.

A mini Birthday Cake!

The cake is marbled White Velvet covered with buttercream.   I handmade all elements of the cake and it's 100% edible, even the garden table is a miniature cake.

60th Birthday

When asked to make this cake the only request I received was to have a couple of 'things' coming out of the cake. So I put my imagination to work - three simple colours of pink, yellow and white featuring some handmade frangipanis,  some floating butterflies and a little 'bling' for detail.

The cake itself is a Passionfruit Mud Cake.

Papa Smurf

A blast from my childhood past;- Papa Smurf..... who I believe has made a bit of come-back.  Hidden underneath the hand carved Papa Smurf is a vanilla and chocolate marble cake.

Birthday Cupcakes

A giant rainbow cupcake accompanied with smaller, regular yellow buttercup cupcakes to celebrate Joshua's 2nd birthday. Wow the year has passed quickly!

Happy 40th Big Sis'

My sister has hit the big '40', or is it the new 30?

To celebrate the occasion I made a Devils Food cake filled with dark chocolate ganache and decorated coloured fondant to match the party colour scheme.   I handmade all the decorations which are 99.99% edible - the butterflies are floating on floral wire.

Happy "Diamond" Birthday - 60th

A white chocolate mud cake, filled with white chocolate ganache and simply decorated with some handmade sugar roses.

The client's favourite colour is 'workchoice' orange!
