Gears of War

I received a birthday cake order this week which left me wondering........

After some research I found the requested design represents a character from the X-Box game 'Gears of War'.

The cake itself is Devils Food cake, hand carved to shape, filled with dark chocolate ganache and covered with fondant. It was 'fun' getting the fondant around the edge of the cake with all the corners.

Hidden underneath the splash of colour is 'Devils Food Cake' filled with dark chocolate ganache, covered with marbled fondant and finished with fondant decorations I handmade, yes even the guitar is fondant!

A simple chocolate cupcake iced with 'Baileys' buttercream, finished with dusting sugar and honeycomb pieces.
