Animal Print & Bling

Within the span of a week my gorgeous niece went from wanting a 'Pepper Pig' theme cake to wanting an "animal print and bling cake".  Of course I was not going to disappoint her and the smile said it all; she loved it!

The cake was a two tiered chocolate fudge cake filled with dark chocolate ganache. 

Ben 10 Birthday Celebration

While most little girls are still obsessed with Frozen, Ben 10 is still a big hit with the boys.  My brief was simple, a Ben 10 theme cake, -  so I chose the iconic colours and symbol.

The cake itself if my usual crowd pleaser; chocolate fudge cake filled with dark chocolate ganache. 

Birthday Bubbles

To celebrate the combined birthday of a group of friends, who had a common love of champagne I created this two tiered explosion of bubbles.

The bottom tier is a chocolate fudge cake filled with dark chocolate ganache topped with an orange and poppy seed cake filled with dark chocolate ganache.

Chocolate Drizzle Cake

I love making family birthday cakes for two reasons; one obviously I love to surprise my family but secondly I have total creative freedom.  To celebrate my niece's 22nd birthday I thought I would experiment with a 'chocolate drizzle' cake!  Underneath all that deliciously drizzled chocolate is four layers of vanilla bean cake filled and iced with vanilla bean butter cream.

Judging from niece's smile, she was pretty happy with the result.
