I love making family birthday cakes for two reasons; one obviously I love to surprise my family but secondly I have total creative freedom. To celebrate my niece's 22nd birthday I thought I would experiment with a 'chocolate drizzle' cake! Underneath all that deliciously drizzled chocolate is four layers of vanilla bean cake filled and iced with vanilla bean butter cream.
Judging from niece's smile, she was pretty happy with the result.
